Shavuot - the appointed time for heaven to kiss earth with mighty visitations
The Open Heaven Ministry of Singapore sent 50 dove banners/kites to South Africa to be released at Table Mountain during Shavuot 2014.
There is an open heaven during Yahweh’s Feasts and we know that during the appointed time of Shavuot the heavens opened and the precious Holy Spirit was released almost 2000 years ago. In Joel 2 we read that HE will once again pour out His spirit on all flesh and a group of 64 warriors prophetically proclaimed this promise on Shavuot from the ‘altar of the south’ – Table Mountain, surely the time is here!
It was during Shavuot that the Lord gave the ten commandments to Israel – His bethrothal Ketubah to this nation. Shavuot was the season He set Israel apart to be a holy nation. Again we stood as HIS bride on Shavuot in worship to say ‘YES” as the first fruit bride and the Spirit and the bride saying "Come Yeshua "!
Historically Shavuot has been the Feast of Thunder, clouds, fire, smoke, tongues of fires and rushing winds! Exodus 19 and Acts 2! Amidst the rainstorms, windgusts and snow forecasts we stood with great expecancy before the Lord at the foot of Table Mountain and were by all means excited with His response!
Here are some of the visions and word received for that beautiful day of Shavuot.
The Lord has sovereignly called together His Joel 2 army for Shavuot. Shavuot was also the first time the Shofar was sounded – and by none other than YAHWEH Himself – what an amazing thing to ponder on! As we marched with the 50 dove banners, blowing the shofars we declared that the Joel 2 army is rising.
Joel 2
A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them, Even for many successive generations. A fire devours before them, And behind them a flame burns; The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, And behind them a desolate wilderness; Surely nothing shall escape them.
4 Their appearance is like the appearance of horses; And like swift steeds, so they run.
5 With a noise like chariots Over mountaintops they leap, Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble, Like a strong people set in battle array.
Before them the people writhe in pain; All faces are drained of color.
They run like mighty men, They climb the wall like men of war; Every one marches in formation, And they do not break ranks.
They do not push one another; Every one marches in his own column. Though they lunge between the weapons, They are not cut down.
They run to and fro in the city, They run on the wall; They climb into the houses, They enter at the windows like a thief.
The earth quakes before them, The heavens tremble; The sun and moon grow dark, And the stars diminish their brightness.
The Lord gives voice before His army, For His camp is very great; For strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; Who can endure it?
In the face of the dire weather Abba released several words before the day:
"Abba is busy talking to me about conditions and that we shouldn’t wait for perfect conditions before we move but instead use faith and obedience to create the conditions.
As I’m sitting here in my room I can hear the storm outside. It is raining against the windows and the wind is blowing mightily. The conditions wherein Abba’s army finds itself is busy testing His bride and this is good, because we are being strengthened.
I would like to use this opportunity to share what Abba showed me as well about our Shavuot Meeting.
I see Table Mountain..It is stormy but there are these golden gates in the spirit all around the mountain. The gates are being opened as we change the atmosphere and as an army we go through the gates, all with swords in hand. "I AM calling My people not to look at the natural realms but to keep your eyes fixed on what I AM doing even as You obey Me. I have chosen this country and as you bless Me through your humble worshipping hearts, I will bless this country and My fire will fall down from heaven." I see a big golden Menorah on Table Mountain and I see how we are dancing with red bands all clothed in white robes and with that the flame of the Menorah is burning brighter and brighter. Oil is pouring out of the Menorah down the mountain and from there it is flowing all over the country. It almost creates a road and then I see people walking on that road to various places in the land. I assume they are chosen ones and then all of a sudden the oil footsteps catch alight and as you look across SA the oil track is forming a picture of a dove and it is as if this dove ascends out of the fire, hovering over the whole of SA.
As I look up at this massive dove from below I see prophetic word, prayers, proclamations and also prophetic actions done in SA engraved on the wings of the dove. It is as if I am seeing it rain out of the heart of Abba, on the hearts of His warrior worshipping bride and then flowing from their heart back to Him. Then again I see a massive hand with a massive torch and how the tip of Africa is set alight and the fire burning all the way up to Israel.
"Keep seeking My face, keep on worshipping Me in the dark while the other are asleep. Keep running the race of faith. Keep your focus and gaze upon Me with doves eyes. I AM raising up My army. An army of worshippers!
We stood before the Lord on Shavuot for our nation South Africa. We knew that repentance was the key that would move heaven in our intercession. Whilst worshipping on the mountain someone saw a massive angel in front of Table Mountain with a massive sword in hand and as we repented light came out of the sword and many strongholds were broken over our country.
During Shavuot the book of Ruth is read - THE CENTRAL THEME OF THE BOOK IS mercy because of what Ruth did for Naomi and we stood before the Lord and repented that the church has not been a Ruth to Israel and also that South Africa has not been blessing Israel – we asked for mercy again.
Shavuot is exactly 50 days after Pesach – the omer that was lifted for the 49 days before Shavuot was an offering to God culminating in a visitation from heaven when God touched earth on Shavuot in Ex 19 and Acts 2. as we lifted up the 50 dove banners/ kites while standing in a circle – we prophetically manifested the season when God will tabernacle with man on earth again and proclaim the commanded blessings of unity as we read Joel in unison.
It was during Shavuot on MT Sinai that the Lord came down in a cloud, it was on Shavuot that God sent the Holy Spirit to earth in tongues of fire and our prayer is that HE will visit us, our nation, the continent, Israel and the nations, again! ………… this time with HIS GLORY! and He came and touched the Mountains.
